In the world of disaster management and security, recovery is the name of the game. The old school legacy systems that allowed for manual disaster recovery just won’t cut it in today’s work place. Further, these systems allow for far smaller capacity requirements in alternate data centers, the principle methodology for DR in recent years. However, one major drawback is that the business is at the mercy of the disaster recovery options available to the SaaS provider.

Therefore, a system of different protective measures should be in place. Data replication, cloud backup and storage, as well as third party vendors will provide a web of protection when coupled with an alternate data center.
